We absolutely need to take time out, to be quiet and to think about our life and our relationship with God. Weekend retreats are not a luxury to be savored by a pious few; they are a necessity for the soul for all of us.
We are excited to share with you that our 2022 Georgia Men’s Retreat will be moving from the Carmel Retreat Center to St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Dahlonega, GA on March 24 to March 26, 2022. Holding the 2022 Retreat at a parish will allow for many more men to attend and will not require overnight accommodations (unless personally desired), which will also enable us to reduce the cost for the retreat significantly. The retreat will be given by a priest of the Opus Dei Prelature. In addition, there will be two priests available to hear confessions and provide spiritual direction.
The cost for the retreat will be $100 plus fees. The fees will pay for lunches and a donation to the parish for the use of their facilities. Overnight accommodations are not included in the cost, which, if desired, will be paid directly by the attendee. There are several hotels within the area and should be contacted directly to reserve a room. If you choose to stay overnight in Dahlonega, we recommend that you secure your reservation ASAP as it is a popular destination for the public.
The retreat schedule is as follows:
· Thursday, March 24th beginning at 9:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM
· Friday, March 25th beginning at 9:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM
· Saturday, March 26th beginning at 8:30 AM and ending at 12:00 PM
